Socks Are Done

Remember my weekend when I knitted and made applesauce?
The socks are done.

I did a sewn bind off on these. I am going to take out the bind off on Chris' socks and do it with this technique. I like it a lot. It has a bit more stretch.
It was a nice afternoon yesterday...just like it has been for EVER.....I am not complaining really, but we need a little rain. I sat out at the picnic table and bound off and listened to a plethora of birds. It was peaceful.

They are the same size, even though the one on the bottom looks bigger. (camera angle)
Each sock took one skein of Patons Kroy Socks FX yarn. They are not real thick and they are not real thin....they are cozy and comfy. Now we need cold weather....but I can wait on that. :)

  1. They look great! :D
I like the rainbow colors in them. The cuff is nice. Is that the part you said was more stretchy? (I don't speak "knitting" ;) )
    Have a great day,
    Marie :)

  3. I'm so impressed! I used Kroy too. Mine was a blue/brown/gray heathery color. I loved it! What was the other option on the bind off? I used the sewn one too. I couldn't figure out the grafting or whatever. I started sock #2 today on the way through Kansas. It's the ankle lace that I'm working on and it went better than the first time. Good work! Blessings!

  4. I love the sewn cast off, I use it all the time. Looks neat, but is nice & stretchy too!
Great socks, I like the stripes. I must check out that yarn when I get to the States in weeks time.
