Think about the best $9.95 you ever spent? What was it on? I went through a spell in my life where everything I bought was $25.00. I bought a pair of shoes for $85.00 one time (I must have lost my MIND! ). They didn't last $85.00 worth. My most prized $25.00 possession is my scoop shovel. I won't loan it out to anyone without a $25.00 deposit first. It is an aluminum shovel and carries a lifetime guarantee from Big R. I bought it about 12 years ago. I think snow shovels are ineffective, therefore, I use my scoop shovel. I grew up on a horse farm, not just a few horses horse farm, but a lot of horses horse farm. Scooping poop was a daily activity. There is only one thing in this world that I can say with confidence that I am good at and it is scooping poop. I would enter a poop scooping contest if there was such a thing. Anyway, I love my $25.00 scoop shovel.

But back to the $9.95.....I can't remember anything for that price that was so special that I remember it. But I WILL remember the concert last night. Our tickets were $9.95 each and they were the cheap seats. But they were GREAT seats. With the invention of those big screens at concerts ..... you don't get a bad seat.

I sit here trying to come up with words to describe the whole thing.
I wished so that my daughter was there. She went to this with my sister's family( E and B ) and met new friends and had a wonderful time. So I can only TELL her about David Phelps singing an opera song and Mark Lowry's silliness and Gordon Mote's piano playing and the university's choral group and the string ensemble and Michael English and the rest.
It was just an absolute blessing to be there. We were blessed by their performances and love of God.
There is a God in heaven....(Daniel 2:28) and his son is Jesus and they sang and spoke of him for 3 and 1/2 hours. If a non believer had stumbled in on that concert somehow....that person COULD not walk out the same.
I just wanted to share our wonderful $9.95 memory.
Would I recommend attending a GVB concert......YES, more than I would Icelandic unspun wool!!! It is THAT special. :)
