Winter Wheat in the Summertime

It is hard to explain how pretty wheat fields are in person.They are planted in the fall and are usually some of the first pretty green stuff you see in the springtime. Then they turn a golden color that is absolutely beautiful.
The two pics above were taken near our home. This field had not been cut yet. The rest were taken near Amboy.
This field has been cut is drying, and then will be baled.
Baled all that is left is the stubble.

The biggest barn I have ever seen....It might not be a 'barn' but storage for the grainery there.
