Trekking to Fiber

 Shetland Fleece-Indiana
On my monthly trek to the fiber store I met these lovelies.  I am planning to spin the Coopworth to make a pair of mittens.  They will be quirky for sure~but that is all part of the fun.    These 4 oz. of Coopworth locks cost $10.70 with tax.  The Shetland  came with the class.  The instructoress was de-stashing.  I am very happy.  Hopefully, next month on my trip I can start spinning the Coopworth.

  1. Congratulations on your finds. I was given two HUGE balls of Icelandic at one of our guild Christmas parties. Wow, was I thrilled! A friend in the guild raises them. I spun most of it so far into laceweight and if you search my blog, there are pictures of a scarf I knit with alternating handspun in cotton candy colors. I still haven't delved into the one ball to spin. It was in roving form. I suppose it has been enough to make a big project, but I never get time for too much anymore. Enjoy! I can't wait to see what you will do with this!
