Life is just too short not to have a happy HAPPY kitchen. I had originally wanted the color of the sky on the kitchen walls, but I decided on yellow! I am happy I did. It is a small kitchen with black appliances and dirt colored floors so I wanted it to look bigger and of course, why not really happy while I was at it. It might make my cooking experiences more fun. :)
Does anyone out there have a yellow kitchen?
It went on a little brighter than the paint sample showed but I still LOVE it.

We have been busy of late painting some rooms in the house. Margaret picks out the colors.
I can't get the color of the living room to show up on the camera as even close to the color it is. :( But here goes.
It's called Inch Worm by Valspar. Much prettier in person.
The music room is probably my favorite room.
The bookshelves are Phoenix at Noon/Valspar and the wall is Valspar Lamplight.
Married ten years.
This is how we appeared before driving down to Indy to eat at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse to celebrate our anniversary.
10th Anniversary
It had valet parking, we were able to park our own vehicle. I mean, look how close to the door our parking spot was. |
This Caesar salad was good. |
We shared this fancy little cheesecake. The graham cracker crust was the best part. |
The ladies restroom. |
The colors were pretty.
Ceramic tile top to bottom.

The Side Porch
Trying to spruce up the side porch a bit. The two green pots are tomatoes, red pot is basil and the yellow is lavender. How to use the bare dirt around the porches has yet to be determined. |
The neighbor across the way has a macaw that he brings out on the porch once in a while. There it is on top of the cage. |

Margaret with her fish. |
We took an afternoon and went fishin' and to let Molly run about.
We all caught several bass and a few bluegill. We saved these two, that I caught, for the freezer, but Chris decided to put them back in the lake to catch when they get bigger. |
On the other side of the lake with Chris, Molly decided to just swim across to us girls. (my sister, Margaret and me) |
Being a little 'portly' we all wondered if she would make it o.k. |
She did fine. |

Pantility Almost Complete
I say almost complete because it seems some projects never end. :) I plan on putting curtains in front of the shelves between the floor cabinets. It looks kind of cute as is, but it is a high traffic area...leading to the garage.....and I think it will help keep them less dusty. I am hoping that the city water will be better for my iron and not cause the 'dirty' stains on the ironing board cover. :)
