Do you fry these? I'm thinking they have something similar in KY that they called dry land fish...mushrooms that only grow at a certain time in spring. They fry them like fish and they're really good. I never learned how to identify them though and I'm not sure if these are the same?
These mushrooms are only found for a few DAYS in the spring time when certain weather conditions exist. They may be the same as the Kentucky ones. They call them morrells or something here. It is a serious time for many mushroom hunters. I think the weather needs to be wet and cool, which it has been, with more liquid on the way!!!
