My daughter calls it origami knitting.
Then...surprisingly, you have a little jacket.
The applied I-cord closed the only seams on this piece, at the shoulders. It is in the above picture on the left. It looks like a ridge. It is dark purple.
I picked up stitches around the neck and knit a little collar.
The buttonholes are built in, so all I need are buttons.

How beautiful! Great job. You are so good at knitting. Someday...I hope to be as well.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
It's gorgeous!! I really like that you added a collar. Now I'll have to try making one. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I would like to have more info on that lovely piece of knitting. Is it a child's pattern? Where can the pattern be purchased?
ReplyDeleteVery nice Lou. Are you making these things for gifts or for yourself? Love the color!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie,
ReplyDeleteActually I will be making a few more BSJs, as gifts, etc., but this purple will be for sale on my Etsy shop as soon as I get the buttons put on.
Hopefully some one will love it and just HAVE to buy it. I need to get the size dialed in...I know it fits an infant, but not sure of the @ age range yet.
Have a wonderful day....
Gorgeous! Well done. The collar looks great, and the steam bath worked a treat. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sinead for your advice, it turned out well.
ReplyDeleteThe pattern can be found at www.schoolhousepress.com. Go there and then look under patterns, then Baby Surprise Jacket.
ReplyDeleteHappy knitting.
WOW!! That is SO cute! You and Maggie have learned so much and have come so far in knitting. It gives me hope that some day I will conquer knitting. ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!
