A Pie Yarn

This month marks the official end of our Pie Journey. Pies will still be made. I have some ideas up my sleeve already for my next few pies. It has been fun. At times maddening. I was even in a pie slump for a few weeks, but I persevered and pulled out of it.
I made about 26 pies before I felt good about it.
I am not an expert pie maker, but I am a confident pie maker.
I have found out that I enjoy making pies. It is therapeutic in a way. Rolling. Stirring. Dicing. Slicing. Boiling. Sprinkling. Baking. EATING. :) I found the most pleasure in pies that were cooked on the stove and baked. Refrigerator pies aren't my favorites. I don't mind making meringues. ( try them...they are not so scary..just takes a lot of practice-like everything).
My words of advice to you: " Don't be afraid of the pie. "
I am glad you came on this journey with me.

The same month I started the Pie thing, I started the Knitting thing.
I think I will be in my rookie season for several more years with the knitting.
But I like it and it is also, therapeutic. Wow. Apparently I need to chill.

On occasion I will post a new pie that I made and a new knitting project. Actually I have one that I want to show you right now...but I will wait a bit on that one.

Don't forget to enter the drawing...see below.

Can't wait to see what your next venture is!

  2. I am delighted to have found your blog!! I love pies but don't make them. I am going to spend quite a bit of time going over your old posts and working on my own pie making skills. Thank you so much!!!

  3. Hi,
I blogged about your pies and knitting on my blog today.
I can't believe how much has happened this past year. It went by fast!
So I found out what you detest in pies and I will put it in another comment.

    Love,
