Imagine, if you will......that you believe the Bible is the Word of God.
{our Wednesday evening Bible study just went through quite a number of weeks doing a study on why we can believe the Bible.}
Imagine.....that you believe the Bible is the Word of God.
O.K.....here goes.
Genesis 1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said. Let there be light and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
If you know the creation account, you know that this continues on...and the evening and the morning were the 'so and so' day, etc. This continues on through the first part of Chapter 2.
Not trying to start a ruckis or anything....but where does one read......millions of years?
On more than one occasion a lady at church has mentioned that she had attended other churches in the past and found that our church was the most enjoyable and real and friendly.
That is sweet. If I were to add anything to her statement I would say that I have attended church and Bible study in Maryland, Iowa, Georgia, Texas, Louisiana and countless ones in Indiana and I can say that I have never in my life been in a church that just recently studied the veracity of the word of God and then turn right around within days and questioned it.

This is really just a lie from the devil. If we can get people to doubt God's word right from the beginning than why believe the rest.

I love answers in Genesis...we don't even watch science programs anymore...they are so off and false. If we pick up a book and it begins with the millions of years...we toss it out. I am right up there with you on your soapbox...so scoot over...make some room.
